US First Lady Michelle Obama on Monday got a taste of India's rich cultural diversity when she visited the National Crafts Museum in New Delhi and had a glimpse of the varied skills of artisans from across the country.
In his address to both houses of Parliament, President Obama endorsed India's position for a permanent seat on the UN Security Council, saying Washington looked forward to reforming the Security Council to reflect current global realities.
President Obama offered to play any role India and Pakistan would like on resolving the Kashmir issue while the Prime Minister made it clear that New Delhi was not afraid of discussions, but terror from across the border must stop.
On Day 3, the US First Couple were received at the Rashtrapati Bhawan by PM Manmohan Singh and President Pratibha Patil. Obama then inspected the guard of honour.
